Upper Mustang Tea House Trek is the trek to Lo-Mangthang (Upper Mustang trek). The trek to this region is to explore Tibetan villages on the Nepalese border. These ancient Tibetan villages have unspoiled Buddhist culture. The region is also famous for medieval art in Buddhist monasteries. Upper Mustang, the capital of Lo-Mangthang is attractive for exploring beautiful Himalayan deserts in high altitude.
Lo Mangthang lies behind the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna mountains which are very near Tibet and, therefore, practices Tibetan culture and lifestyle. Lo Mangthang was opened to explore after 1992 where there are various specialties hidden as mysteries. The land is windy and barren extended Tibetan plateau which has rocky formations with eroded canyons.
Lo Mangthang (Upper Mustang) people are of Tibetan origin Bhotias and Loba communities. They follow Tibetan lifestyle and cultural practices. These people follow Sakyapa Buddhism which is Tibetan-rooted. They celebrate festivals based on religion; among them, the Tiji Festival trek is the most important. The population of this region is more than 6000 in an area of 2600sq. km. which is still being ruled by a king locally. The houses and monasteries are made up of stone or sun-baked mud bricks. The monasteries have medieval looks with historical importance.
The Exploration Mustang Trek is an interesting trek to the Mustang region along the Kali Gandaki River. The trail follows Kali Gandaki to the top of Lo Mangthang with different opportunities to explore the ancient settlements of Kagbeni, passing through the world’s deepest river gorge in Kaligandaki River and to the Tibetan untouched villages of Lo Mangthang. The region is not disturbed by modern world development as it has preserved its culture in art and traditions.

Day 01: Welcome to Kathmandu International Airport, and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Trekking Gear preparation in Kathmandu 1345m.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara by Tourist Bus, 8/9 hours, 810 m.
Day 04: Flight from Pokhara to Jomsom, Trek to Kagbani.
Day 05: Trekking from Kagbeni to Chaile (3110 m) for 6 hours.
Day 06: Trekking from Chaile to Syangbochen (3800 m), 7 hours
Day 07: Trekking from Syambochen to Tsrang (3570 m).7/8 hours.
Day 08: Trekking from Tsarang to Lomanthang (3530 m), 5 hours.
Day 09: Visit Jhong Cave and Explore Around Lomanthang (3760 m).6 hrs.

Nepal Unique Treks Team is at the Airport, He is waiting there with your Name Card, He will welcome you and take you to your hotel, It takes 30 minutes approximately on your arrival day time, because of the traffic on the road, Or if you arrive evening or night it takes 15 minutes from Airport to Hotel, Check in Hotel and free time.
After breakfast in the Hotel meet with the trek guide and other trekking staff, Complete the official trekking arguments, and collect the needed documents, Check your trekking equipment with our guide, He will assist you with shopping in Thamel, Nepal Unique Treks will invite you to join for Welcome dinner, and some discussion about the Upper Mustang Trek.
After Breakfast, Your Guide will take you tourist bus station, then start driving to Pokhara via Prithvi Highway by Tourist bus; it will take approximately 9 hours to reach Pokhara. In the early afternoon, Pokhara will offer you a Beautiful lake view with Annapurna Himalaya which is the first day and first attraction, Dinner in Lakeside Pokhara, and Overnight sleep in Hotel.
Early Morning drive to the domestic airport, Then take a 25 minutes mountain flight to Jomsome, which gives you an amazing experience with a gorgeous mountain view, Upon Arrival in Jomsome, we will meet with our team members, who help to Carry our duffel bags for the Treks. From there we will start our journey via Kaligandaki River, which takes ¾ hours from Jomsom, Kagbeni is the main gateway to trek Upper Mustang, Where we must enter our special permits and overnight stay at the Guesthouse.
Today we trek to Chaile via Apple Gardens, Local Villages, and Kaligandaki River Valley, which offers you Magnificent Mt Nilgiri and Mt Dhaulagiri View. After lunch in Chuksang, we will cross Kali Gandaki River by suspension bridge then for 40 minutes climb up to Village, which is the last destination for today, Overnight sleep at Chaile.
Today’s trekking from Chaile to Syangbuchen is quite long and Physically difficult because we have to cross many passes which are Taklam La (3240 m), Dzong La (3550 m), Baga La, Yemdo Pass (4000 m), will visit Buddhist monastery on the cave, In 8th century, Guru Padma Sambhab meditation on that cave, so that it is pilgrims site for Buddhist Community.
After breakfast in the guesthouse, our trek starts gently uphill and then crosses the Shyammochhen La, from where you can see a beautiful mountain view with ancient Chorten, Today we will cross 4 passes generally, which are 3500m to 4100m, after crossing the Nyi La Pass, We must walk one hour downhill to reach a junction. Before arriving in Tsrang there are two ways, the right one leads to Charang village, and the left one leads to Ghami village. In the evening we will see the great Chorten and monastery, and overnight sleep at Guesthouse in Tsrang village.
The day's trek is physically not so difficult but it will be a bit tiring because the trekking trip is flat and sandy, However, It will be a beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains along the way which gives you a positive energy to reach a Lomanthang.
After Lunch, You will be visiting King Place, the Buddhist Monastery, and their traditional village. Today we arrived at your dream destination; it will give you positive energy and a memorable trekking experience in Upper Mustang, Where you explore unique people's lifestyles, cultures, and landscapes.
Today we will hire a jeep and then drive to Korala Pass which is the Border between Nepal and Tibet, and we will visit the Historical 10000 man-made Cave, and explore this medieval town which has a very rich history. After Lunch, if you like to do some activities then visit the NamgyalGompa, and Thinkar village, which is the oldest village in Upper Mustang, It will take us 2 hours to walk.
we will trek to another Religious Gompa which is called Ghar Gomba, Locals believe it was built by Guru Padma Sambhab in the 8th century, which is older than Sam Gomba of Tibet. It is an amazing ancient Monastery when you visit inside, it gives you positive vibes and purifies your soul, it looks like Tibetan architecture, and there is only one teashop, where you can’t order from the food menu. The trek to Dhakmar Village, during the day, will provide you with amazing views of the colorful landscape.
Today we will hire a jeep and then drive to Jomsom, It gives you an off-road driving experience in The Himalayas saves you time, and reduces the budget. Celebrate the last day trek with local staff, and share the trekking experience and overnight sleep at Jomsome.
Early morning, Flight to Pokhara and relax your day in Lakeside with your luxury stay. There is plenty of time to do shopping, Massage, and walk around the lake. Enjoy the evening with a delicious dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel in Pokhara.
After Breakfast, ride a tourist bus to go to Kathmandu, Which takes 8/9 hours, If you hate to drive long way distances there is the best option to go to Kathmandu by flight it costs $95 per head.
Evening 6 pm, you will be invited by Nepal Unique Treks to celebrate the farewell dinner and you will be congratulated by giving a certificate, of Completion of Upper Mustang Trek.
Today is the final day, after breakfast walk around Thamel and collect some handicrafts as a gift for your family and friends. Three hours before then your flight schedule, Nepal Unique Treks will bring you to the International airport.
